I've heard the term interventional nephrologist thrown about lately, but I am struggling to find out exactly what an Interventional Nephrologist does? how to become trained in it? what fellowship programs offer it? etc.
Also curious to know if the compensation is similar to other procedural specialties like cards or GI?
I'm having difficulty deciding between cards and nephrology. I like procedures but I find nephrology more intellectully stimulating than cards.
