Does this exist in any significant way? I'm familiar with the concept of embolizing hypervascular tumors, but beyond that I know nothing. Is there currently a role for NIR in CNS cancer beyond that?

Current research is being done on intra-arterial delivery of chemotherapeutic agents, but this is still in its early stages. The blood brain barrier poses a significant challenge.
