I've heard the term "interventional physiatrist" being used here and there. What is an Interventional Physiatrist??

I've heard the term "interventional physiatrist" being used here and there. What is an Interventional Physiatrist??

Now it generally means fellowship trained, performing cervical and lumbar facets and epidurals, in addition to 'more advanced' procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, discography, +/- nucleoplasty or IDET, and depending on where you trained, vertebroplasty, spinal cord stimulator and pump insertions.
