You can't get interviews with those scores. Retake is a must!
Congrats! Odds are looking really good for c/o 2017.
@ University of Indiana, wahoo!
Awesome!...so happy for you - you deserve them 🙂
Still waiting for interview number one on this end :/
What are your stats?
You should post a sticky. These nerds on SDN need to stop telling people to retake their DAT just because they didn't get 22+AA. Look at you girll!! 3 interviews already! Some people with better dat score don't even have interviews yet. WOW CONGRATS!

thank you guys!! =)

Getting interviews is one thing. Getting in is another.@ University of Indiana, wahoo!

Why so pessimistic? Won't get in anywhere without that big interview, correct?
Haters gonna hate 😛
I guess for some with less than competitive stats, merely getting interviews is a major milestone.WRONG! the first step of getting in is to GET an interview.

You are welcome !
Also, you should tell them that you took some of prereqs at CC. Open up the eyes of those CC haters.![]()
OP is Native American, the rarest of URMs. You're in for a nice surprise if you think a 17AA and tons of CC credits will give you a competitive chance.

It's disgusting how you guys keep trying to find reasons that got her interviews. I am sure being a URM is not the sole reason of her interviews
And just as interviews don't equal acceptance (as we were reminded earlier), URM doesn't equal acceptance and URM doesn't equal interview.
The rest of her app is pretty solid, I think.
Yes but an interview is A step to an acceptance
No wonder why he got a 17 on RC...Of course it is. That wasn't my point. That's why I said what I said earlier.

Go get laid my friend
thanks to those who stuck up for me. To those who are completely ignorant I hope you understand that kinda trait will stand out to ds if and when you get any interviews. So be mature and stop being snobs. Dont judge me or anyone for the stats I have. Showing jealousy isn't going to get you anywhere and I've worked my ass off to get where I am today even if my DAT isn't competitive. Look at all the current dentists that practice which probably more than half didn't do better than a 17 back in the day. Does that make them less qualified to be a dentist? NO. Most of them have experience and dedication without having an arrogant personality along with it which is far superior than any DAT score. So give it a rest and wipe your tears off, nobody cares.
Congrats and best of luck! What do you think makes you stand out in the crowd? Are you non-trad?

dc2016, hope you don't mind my sharing this. What I liked months ago when she was getting thrashed over these scores was the GPA, well-roundedness, dental experience, and research. No matter how involved the dental experience or research, it was there and it complemented the other things. If these interviews don't work out, you're invited to Bluefield.
It is better if they take app this cycle... 😉thanks for noticing my other qualities jeffity. =)
Is Bluefield taking their first apps next cycle?

I wanna be your freaking your dental school classmate lol. LET me know what school u get into and I will apply there lmao. jk...
I am totally on your side. Wish you have more interview coming up!
Dear Dental Chick, you're stronger than I was. I remember after get my first DAT scores I posted a "chance me" post on SDN and everyone here told me to retake. I was super depressed after that and eventually studied for a retake. I think your resilient personality is more than enough to get you the acceptances you deserve. I think you're a fine example that applicants are more than just numbers on a sheet of paper. Keep your head held high; you're a great depiction of the future of dentistry. As future health care providers, we need to band together and help each other not find faults in each other's applications. I'm rooting for ya 😀
