I interviewed for the alternate on March 2nd. I know that is not very recent. However, I thought I would mention how long it took before I heard back from them. Interviewed March 2nd and heard back from them on March 23rd. So it was about a three week turn around time.

You will have a good chance if you submit your application very early. Case starts interviews in mid-late August, so the earlier you apply, the greater your chances.
