I wanted to ask a couple questions about the Interview at UK. Please answer if you've been to an interview in the past or this year.

I am in in-state applicant and I wanted to know the ratio of in-state applicants to the ones that recieve interviews. along those lines, I'd like to know what the ratio is of in-state interviewers to the ones that get accepted. I guess I would really like to know if they interview a lot of the in-state applicants and how many of those actually get accepted?

Next, how many in-state spots are there available at Kentucky?
About how many people have been at each interview?

I heard that Kentucky was also partial to females, does anyone know if that is true.

Any information would be helpful. I am a little lost.

I would recommend looking at the most recent ADEA Guide to Dental Schools. You can find all of this info in the book. Your school's advising dept. may have a copy or someone else on SDN may be able to tell you the stats you are looking for.

There are about 40 spots for in-state students at UK. Last year, 200 in-state students applied. Not all received interviews. Between UK and UL there are 85 spots for the 200 people who applied. Not only do some not get interviewed, some do go out of state. Looking at it that way, you have a great chance if you're a great/decent applicant. UK did have a larger female class this year, but on the flip side, UofL had a smaller amount of females. I do not think gender matters.

About the interview, mine is coming up so I can tell you then.
