Has anybody interviewed at UPitt for this cycle yet? I haven't seen any updates in the interview feedback area and I was just wondering. Any feedback would be great! My interview is on the 21st, anybody else?

Thanks

hi,. mine is 28th. Would you leave a interview feedback after your interview.?
Thank you

it's a laid back day. no diggity. the odds are once u interview u have a high % of acceptance. they interview around 240 and ~75 matriculate, but they probably accept around twice that many.
it's really informative w/ several speakers presenting. the student panel is really effective as well. clinically they do a good job explaining what their goals are. the tours are pretty good too...u get to talk to a lot of students. practically half the d1's met us up for lunch. a ton of other classes joined us to talk too.
there's like 50-60 applicants there, all escorted to interviews after brunch. the int was no sweat...after talkin to a few other interviewees they agree the interviewers really laud ur accomplishments and talk as if theyre trying to sell the school, more than u tryin to sell urself. then there's a brief writing sample (15 min) at the end just to show u can string some sentences together.

just prepare for a pseudo long day (if ure flyin in and arent in the right time zone) and absorb all the info u can to make informed decisions. the students seemed most helpful that day.

I called Rose mangold a few days ago and asked her about how many seats they give out before december. I told her I have an interview on nov 28th and was wonderin if that met the cutoff. She said that there was only 1 interview dat previously and that nov 28th will count.
So is this correct interviews at upitt before dec 1::: oct 31, nov 21, nov 28?
thanks

Yeah those were the three dates that i was offered for interview. I interviewed over there on Oct 31st.

How did u like the school and city? What did you think about the program, and most of all, is it really how people make it out to be that chances of acceptance are high upon recieving an interview prior to December 1st
thanks

Wow, only 3 interview dates? how many interviewees were at each of those dates??!?!

My friend interviewed there last year before Dec 1 and they basically told everyone at the interview that if they were invited before the first round of acceptances then they were going to get an acceptance letter. He also told me that that was the first thing they told the group in the morning, and sure enough he got accepted Dec. 1st. Talk about a major load off your shoulders.
See you guys there on the 21st.

I talked to a few students over there... and they all were very happy with the school. I think the best thing about Pitt is the city itself. I kind of enjoyed it. It's a big city where you can still get the community feeling. A relatively clean city.
A few students were kind of turned off by the weather of pittsburgh though.
The school has very good clinical facilities. they are definitely very proud of their new sim lab. And why not, it's the best i've seen so far.
a couple students told me that people who get interviewed prior to dec 1 get accepted unless they totally screw up their interviews. So don't say the F word during your interview.
goodluck.

Nice, well im looking forward to going up there november 28th. HOpe my writing section is the same as oct 31 which teacher influenced us the greatest. thanks for the info good luck nov 21st?

This may actually be the most wonderful news I have heard since August.

Did they say anything to your group about a likely acceptance letter since you had interviewed before the 1st???!! I hope it's the same this year as it was last year!
