So as I am getin ready to prep for my first interviews I was wondering what resources I should start with since I have ZERO idea what to expect and I never had an interview for anything before?

Is there a book or something that I should buy which would help me?

There are some books out there on the matter, but the net has a lot of stuff. In fact, there's a lot of stuff on this very site. Look under school feedback and do some creative searching on the forums.

If you have had zero interviews for anything (like a job) then ask someone to interview you. Fill out an app at McD's for fun just to interview and feel nervous about something if you have to. You can find sample questions all over the net and the forums too. Never word-for-word rehearse answers like a robot. But get your mind thinking about ideas so you can dust off the cobwebs in your brain now. For the obvious stuff, like "why dentistry?", know how to articulate your ideas well. Again, don't memorize, but when you actually start to speak your answers out loud, you'll quickly realize how ******ed you sound and how much you use your hands and say "like" and "you know" and "um".

Your undergrad school most likely has mock interviews available in the career center. Also you can look through sdn to find commonly asked questions for almost every school. I personally went through that for every school I applied to and made a list of questions, then came up with well thought out answers for each of them.

Been hunting on the web for more resources, the inverview database is great start.

I was wondering if there was a place where some of those questions were answered? I would be interested in seeing how others responded to some questions and refine mine 🙂
