Hi everyone, I'm a pre-dental student and I applied to 7 dental schools and most of the schools received my app 2 weeks ago. My stats are

v BCP 3.47
v Science 3.45
v Non-science 3.56
v Cumulative 3.49
DAT scores

General Chem 19
Biology 18
Organic Chem 15
Total science 17
PAT 17
Reading 17
Math 16
I applied to Midwestern Illinois, UDM, LECOM, Indiana, Nevada, NYU, and Touro

v Dentistry Experience with 170 hr

v Extracurricular/Volunteer/Community Service total hours 2030
Does anyone think that I'll get an interview?

Any advises?

Again the only reason I'm saying that because last year I apply with better score and I did not make it! So I'm saying base on personal experience I don't want sound harsh but I am talking from experience

The lower QR doesn't matter much but a 15 in OC will affect your chances immensely. Not a betting man but if I was, I would say no interviews simply due to the 15 but your GPA isn't really low, it hovers at the mean GPA

Do you think I'll get an interview by any of these schools?
Maryam1234 unfortuatetly IMO you do not have a chance for interviews at any schools you have listed, in fact I don't know of any schools that would consider those DAT scores. Your scores are not very impressive as a whole, not to mention the 15 in Orgo. Your GPA is good but not considered high compared to the thousands of students I work with applying to dental school. With your GPA I would like to see at least a 20TS 20 AA and those will not even guarantee you will get into all the schools your your list. It is very competitive to get into dental school and getting more competitive each year.

IMO a retake will be necessary and I would definitely follow a different study path than the one you used for this DAT.

Wising you the best..

Just my 2 cents..Nancy
