Interview conflicts

I got an interview to Wake today for Jan 14 👍. Problem is 👎 I have already confirmed to interview at WashU on that date. I called WashU and she said there is no room to shuffle me to another date. Looks like the only other date Wake is interviewing is Dec. 17th. Anyways....it appears that I'm stuck. I just wondered if you guys had any ideas. Thanks for any input.

one is doomed to be goat for sacrifice (unfortunately). it is impossible to change an interview date once scheduled (especially this deep into the season).

Some ortho candidates use a website, similar to studentdoctor.net, to trade interview dates. You may want to start a new thread for swaping...

As it turns out I have a similar problem. THat would make 2 of us. I have been asked by one institution to move my date for them. And I did. Maybe I have earned some karma and I will see if I can talk with wake. If anyone else has the same problem, we can collectively bargin. It is foolish that not one of the programs knows what day the others are interviewing on. But in this market we may be doomed. And perhaps this happened to people on the list above us and the reason we even had a chance.
