Interview Date question at vandy

I was wondering, what difference will it make if i interview on December 10th vs. January 12th in the context of admissions decisions....am I at a disadvantage?

Also, can someone offer their opinion on deciding to fly in on the same the day and leave after (this is mostly for financial reasons....I would still arrive 1 hr 15 mins prior to my scheduled interview)
