If a school does not have a rolling admissions process (as in they don't accept people throughout the cycle, only at the end) does the interview date you select really matter?

For instance would selecting an interview slot an extra week or two later impact the process at all? Thanks!

Schools that don't release decisions until March still do rolling admissions, they just don't tell anyone their result until then.

A week later isn't going to be significant.

Related, I've always wondered what the point of waiting to release decisions in March is.

To make us all waste every last penny we own on unnecessary interviews for schools we won't end up attending :boom:

I feel like a difference of one or two weeks doesn't really matter, but unless there is an important reason for postponing your interview, I'd say get it done asap

My choices were early November at best. I chose 11/8. I figured let's make my interview go down in history.

I hope we get to speak about the election. I would love to pick the brains of our respected Adcoms.

October 6th vs October 20th probably won't make a difference. August 1st vs. December 1st is much more likely to make a difference.
