Interview dates for CA schools?

Anyone have a general idea when CA pharmacy schools start interviewing, since the application deadline for most of them is November 1 or so?

I'd hate to miss out on Christmas vacation due to an unexpected interview, maybe I should put my plans on hold?

In a couple months, you'll be more than willing to give up Christmas for an interview.

I don't think they will schedule an interview during Christmas time, since they figure that most of us have plans with families anyways. I've heard of interviews taking place during the first week of December, but not during 3rd or 4th week of the month. Either way, I think the schools (or at least the office) are closed during those two weeks until the day after New Year's.

Alot of cali schools do rolling admissions, so while the deadline may be Nov 1st to apply, many schools start interviewing early.

Also when you interview will depend on your stats. You may not be competitive enough to get the first choice in interview dates, even in a rolling admission school (rolling admissions or not, schools don't normally reject you right away, they will wait on your app until more apps are turned in). So while you may have turned in your apps in september, you may not get a interview invite til february or march.

Well, as for vacation, thats up to you. Schools give you a choice of dates, but its "usually" in your best interests to pick the earliest date. If you decide to go to the middle of nowhere, make sure someone is picking up your mail, and you have access to voicemails and emails. Like someone mentioned, schools don't usually interview in late december.

I was about to say how the next 11-12 months are gonna be rough on me waiting for acceptance BUT then i was like wait, I only wanna stress the next 4 months til I find out I got accepted! lol

SC interviews Nov, Jan, Feb, and Mar. No Christmas interviews. We'd hate to have something that determines your career take place at such an inconvenient time. People may not show up.😕
