I have a general question I've been wondering about. I'm planning to apply next cycle and as soon as possible, like June, I'm wondering what months I'll most likely have my interviews in the following fall. I want to study abroad for a year before I go to dental school but I'm worried about interview dates.
Thanks

I'm studying abroad to Japan 4 days from now for a year so i'm probably the guy to ask. Truthfully, i recommend against doing this, since its been nothing but headaches and money, but if you're willing to handle both, you need to talk to your study abroad program about the possibility of returning to the states for more interviews. I applied May 24, and recieved 4 interviews (check out the link on my signature). I'm returning to the states Oct 25 - November 11 to accommodate the other 2 i recieved and possibly others that may be on the way (I called all the dental schools and figured out that this time frame is the most likely spot for interviews that doesn't get in the way of my exams abroad). Keep in mind that some schools dont offer interviews until later - Its already october and no one's heard from either detroit mercy or Tufts. I suspect if i hear from the other schools that other people have recieved interviews for (and if its not a rejection which is more likely), i won't be scheduled until after December 1. Needless to say, i won't be able to go to any interview outside my 2 week return-timeframe. Just be prepared to sacrifice interviews.
