I am interested to know how it can be done in the following situation to save money.

I understand that usually interviews are between morning-4pm. Let's say you get there before a day and arrive to the hotel. In the morning you go to interview and afterward maybe look around the city and head out to the airport. The part I am confused at what to do with the baggage if hotels usually check-in times 10am. So does it mean instead of reserving for one day, an applicant must book a hotel for two days, so that after the interview an applicant comes back to the hotel and take all staff and head out to the airport.

Let me know if there are better way to do this and save money. I heard about airbnb, but not interested as I heard some weird stories on the forum, so I don't want to happen.

Thank you for an input!

You can leave your baggage at the hotel. You just have to ask the front desk person where you can store it. Or, you can bring your bag with you to the interview. Every school I interviewed at was very accommodating with people’s stuff. Definitely don’t reserve a room for 2 days just to store your stuff.

Ditto. Hotel, where I stayed, was very chill. Drove in the day before. Got a good night sleep and then checked out in the morning and left my luggage with the front desk. To me was safer there with a check tag than in my car in the trunk

Some schools actually say in their interview package that they can store and keep bags and/or other items such as umbrellas during the interview day, and you can pick it up after. I've seen people bring small suitcases.

Thank you for confirming that!

If you’re hotel can’t accommodate your luggage, can the school and confirm that you can leave your stuff in a secure place during the interview. Most, if not all, schools will do that for you
