On interview day, when they take you to the ward for rounds/morning report/conference what is expected of you?

If you're there for rounds, are you expected to interject frequently or ask questions of the resident or whoever is presenting their patient?

If you're there for morning report, are you expected to answer most of the questions presented or ask questions of the person leading the report?

bump because I have wondered about this for some time. I hope aaprogdirector will see this thread.

I'm new to the whole residency interview thing, but those all sound like terrible ideas to me.

Basically, be a friendly person but don't try to sound smart, because you won't. There is nothing you will be able to say or do during an interview day that will take you from the bottom to the top, but there is plenty you can do that will take you from the top to the bottom.

QFT. This is basically the one thing you need to know to be successful during interview season. Your interview will not make you but it can very easily break you.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a thread that collected all the stupid things MS4's have done during audition rotations that got them rejected. I have a few stories; think I'll start that in Allo.

Why allo? I think it'd be ok here, especially if we incorporate interview day stories.
