I just got my interview day schedule, and I was curious if anybody had experience with a few things. First thing after the presentation we take the "Nelson-Denny Reading Test." Anybody know anything about that? I haven't heard about it, so I guess I'm about to start googling. There's an interview. Then a tour. Then a "PTCAS Application Review." Any ideas what that might be? Is it like a second interview about my application or something?

Is this Rosalind Franklin by any chance?

David,

Not sure if you looked it up but apparently it is some sort of reading comprehension / vocabulary test. Sounds like it could be similar to the verbal section on the GRE, who knows. If you studied hard for the verbal section, which I think you did by your test scores, you should be just fine. I believe there are test prep options for this exam lol, would be funny if you went in and wrecked it. I wish you nothing but the best, I hope to get a call or email from them soon.

I looked it up. It doesn't seem too bad. It's odd to take another reading test since the GRE covers that, but I do well on reading tests so I'm not too worried about it. Just going to focus on not being a rambling ***** in the interview. 🙂 Best of luck to you too.

Heaven have mercy...the GRE was annoying enough...:dead:

And @davidtheusername, what did the test end up being like anyway? And did it seem like an important part of the interview? Just curious.

Pardon my thread bump...

That test was extremely easy. It was basic reading comprehension and vocabulary but way easier than the GRE verbal. It didn't affect the interview at all. They don't look at your scores on that for the interview. It was more of a tool that goes to the department that deals with tutoring and whatnot to use with students that need help.
