I have interviews coming up in the next few months, and I've heard many things... some people say that a suit is required, and I shouldn't do anything besides a basic, dark colored suit and heels. Is this true? Are dresses and blazers acceptable/are heels totally necessary?

I would say yes to suits and heels. But I know people who have done blazer and pencil skirt with a nice blouse for example (not necessarily a full skirt suit).

I'm planning to do a dark maroon modern suit and black pantyhose/heels plus a neutral pink blouse.

Comfortable heels, flats, or just nice shoes! I've worn a pantsuit with a basic blouse with flats, dress pants with a fun red-colored blouse (no blazer) and tiny heels, and also wore a white blazer with checkered pants and black boots. All were still professional, but I enjoyed mixing it up and standing out a bit amongst the crowd of black, brown, and gray. Wear whatever is most comfortable for you and makes you feel confident on interview day!

Heels definitely are not necessary. A lot of interviews will include a tour and you'll be dying in heels. Comfortable, professional looking flats are fine.

Heels are definitely NOT necessary. Just wear dress shoes or something close to that, not sneakers, no open toes.
Suit is NOT required, Is also way too expensive and not worth it unless you have it to wear it somewhere else. Dress pants and a blouse that covers your shoulders and chest are just fine. Professional dress should be fine. No one cares about your colors; just do not wear anything neon or too flashy.

I definitely agree with this! I went to an interview last year wearing a full pantsuit and heels and most of the girls there were wearing flats, and dress pants with a blouse! At the end of the day, wear professional clothes you feel most confident in! I know for me it would have been just flats and a blouse 🙂
