Allright kids, here's the deal: I've scheduled my NOVA interview for 9/15 (Friday), and my Touro-NV interview for 9/18 (Monday).

I'm debating what the best course of action would be to take:

1) Fly Dallas-Ft Lauderdale (9/14), Stay 9/15 in FTL, Fly FTL-Vegas 9/16, Stay 9/16-9/17 in Vegas, Fly back Vegas-Dallas (9/18). 2 nights in FTL, 2 nights in Vegas.

2) Fly Dallas-FTL round trip (9/14, come back to Dallas 9/15), Fly Dallas-Vegas round trip (9/17, come back to Dallas 9/18). 1 night in FTL, 1 night in Vegas.

From what I've gathered thru my calculations (though I'm not definitely sure b/c of hotel choice, etc), the cost will be fairly equal, as the prices balance out between the extra day staying and the different in flight prices between the two scenarios. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

dude, hang out in florida and vegas for sure!

Ha yeah, it sounds tempting, but I don't really know anyone in the area, and I'm not planning on renting a car, since from what I know I can taxi/shuttle around both places....plus this is the one time I really dont want to go on wild vacation mode. 🙂 I'm leaning towards scenario 1, but still haven't decided.

Understandable. But the first option gives you the opportunity (if you rent a car, or even take a bus) to see each area a little bit -- location is often a pretty big deciding factor for medical school.

If you're tight on money, definitely fly back.

Yea I sorta am in the same boat as you....

I have an interview at DMU on the 15th...I fly back on the 16th. I debated on leaving Sat for TUCOM and spending a day in LV...I just don't think I have enough money to do it so I am coming home for a day and have one night in a hotel...the Doubletree just south of the airport. I probalby won't get a car and will be taking mass transit around. I got a late flight back home (11pm on Monday) so I could spend a few hours on a craps table.
