Every group of people I interview with seems to be better than the last. I have had some of the best conversations waiting for my named to be called. I always thought I would have to arrive on interview day and walk into a room with a sea of suits/pencil skirts glaring at me as if I were the enemy. But that has happened zero times. I've been lucky to find myself in groups of relatively decent folk, who share my nervousness and my sense of humor for the most part. Besides cracking jokes we even share interview tips for other schools (when appropriate). I don't know if there is a real point to this post, but don't be afraid of talking with fellow interviewees. There are good people out there and you already have at least one thing in common. And who knows, you may have to spend the next 4 years with some of them. It has been nice having my assumptions be so wrong and have people genuinely (or at least have the decency to fake sincerity) wish you luck. Speak up, be yourself, your future roommate could be out there. Haha

I agree with you. I've met some really cool and genuinely nice people during my interviews!
