basic questions:
- why PT
- Why x program
- what is a situation you demonstrated leadership/ collaboration/ bouncing back from a negative experience
some not-so-basic questions
- what would you do if a pt (patient) was late
- what would you do if a pt can't pay for their PT
- what are your biggest goals in life
- what is a decision in your life you regretted at that moment and would you go back in time to change it
general tips
- make sure your why isn't superficial (pls don't say you want a dr title or more money)
- ask meaningful questions that you can't find on the internet
- look into the professors, see what their interests are and if they have published work, go on PubMed or Google Scholar and actually read their papers, see how it relates to your clinical interests, and talk about that.... I think this helped me the most in standing out
- show how interested you are in their program, instead of trying to be interesting yourself
- smile and be friendly with other applicants, they are watching (you should be a friendly person in the first place if you want to be in this field)
good luck 🙂
