Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if anyone will have a sure answer for my question but I'll ask it anyways haha. As of now, can we still expect to receive interview invites (for pre-December interviews) or have schools stopped giving out interviews for a little while? I'm specifically asking about schools such as BU, NYU, Penn, and Columbia..but if you know anything about other schools regarding this then that would be great too.

Thanks!

As of Monday Oct. 11, NYU's last scheduled interview dates are at Oct. 20. Thus, you can still have a chance for a pre-dec interview if you are contacted around this time. As for Columbia, there are no more pre-dec interviews. For BU and Penn, I'm not sure. Didn't even get contacted myself.

:xf: NYU stop sleeping Avicii is calling out and is hungry for an interview.

I contacted NYU last week and they said they hadn't even begun booking November interviews yet; they only book them 2-3 weeks in advance. There's still time.

BU told me that they only begin interviews in October anyways. So I suppose if they go in order then perhaps only the super early people may be getting pre-December interviews.

you sound like me, I promised myself I would be happy if I had a single interview and now I have just gotten greedy and want more as well

I just got a NYU invite today. I submitted my application to NYU in the beginning of august, but I sent them updated (and much improved) DAT scores in the end of September.
I got a BU invite 8/18, and I submitted my app there in June or July. They just assigned me an interview date of 10/3/11, and I think that was one of the first groups.
Hope this helps.

no more Buffalo pre dec 1st

It's just what I was told a week and a half ago by the receptionist. I'm not trying to disseminate incorrect info or anything like that. As with anything on SDN (including your Nov 1 claim), take it with a grain of salt.

This is partially untrue as I was in the first interview day for BU which was September 26th.

But late September and October isn't much of a difference.. so w/e

Dang, why is BU such a tease? I thought I got an interview, but it was just an update saying they're still reviewing my file =P

Boston is a sweet city and I'm sure the terrible weather that people complain about can't be much worse then the half year winters we get here in London.

The interview was weird as in you can't tell if you did well or not since the questions they ask you was hardly related to the school and dentistry.

personality type one? they probably evaluated whether you're a good fit or not via some other methods. this is commonly used in job interviews.

like conversation type questions or actual scenario-based questions:scared:

Yeah it was more personality based.

They were like oh where did you stay in Boston. Tell me a bit about the school you attend right now and stuff that I was like what does this have to do with anything?
