Hi guys, I just got an email for an interview at LSU. I was wondering if you guys could let me know what expect. Is anyone here at LSU? If so, can you kind of give me a heads up on the interview process? I am kind of nervous and really need some tips.

p.s.... what should i wear to the interview?

lemme tell you what irritated me about this one guy at my interview.

so we go into that big conference room where we first have that group interview type thing and we all sit around a table (about 10 of us). and you know how its kinda silent while the lady in charge gets started up. well this guy apparantly knew that this portion was the "group interview" section and wanted to be a showoff or at least make his face memorable in front of that lady. he turned to the person next to him and in a very loud voice started making small talk and going around the table asking people about themselves as if he was the leader or something. i guess he was trying to show his communication skills/leadership skills or whatever. all i can say is i thought he was obnoxious

so..that is an example of what NOT to do! 😀

I assumed they were through interviewing, does anyone know how much longer they interview and if the class is full? I'd love to go to LSU, I spent 2 years at Tulane before Katrina and I loved my visit to the med-school there pre-Katrina. I read on the website that they were moving back to New Orleans this summer, is that still the plan?

I didn't interview there obviously, but wear a suit. Read the SDN interview feedback on LSU.

I don't know if this is ur first interview, but u will find that all interviews are the same. THe first one is always the most nervous and u will find u OVER prepared for it, unless u have the interview at arizona.

Just read some of the questions posted on the Interview Feedback and be prepared to answer questions u KNOW they are gonna ask u...like the Why Dentistry and Why this school and etc.

Don't be afraid to standout either...if one of the administrators loves the Yankees, which happened to me in the boston and columbia interview talk baseball and he will remember u, just don't be all obnoxious and get in everyone's business.

As for attire...wear a beach-like shirt with lots of palm trees and jean shorts are always a must...add some black socks and white sneakers and u got urself an acceptance letter. Haha...jk-ing...wear urself a suit and tie.
