I know that some of you can feel me on this one...

If you haven't gotten an invite, but haven't gotten a rejection as has been reported on this board, que pasa?

Does that mean that you're still in the running or rather that they haven't gotten around to rejecting you yet?


I'm hoping for the former...does anyone know? Someone! Please keep my dream alive...

i haven't seen any consistent pattern but the majority of programs haven't gotten back to me and if they are all waiting to reject, i'm thoroughly screwed. if i get thru the day without a rejection i consider myself lucky.

I feel ya on that one. Not sure what the heck it means. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst...

It differs by institution, but many send out several waves of interview invites. Just because initial invites are reported on this board, I wouldn't take it as an indication that you are SOL with that particular school.

Keep a good outlook; I remember this time of year, and I agree that it's pretty much the most stressful part of the whole process. Keep in mind though, that most of interview offers will likely be made between now and Christmas. It's still pretty early right now.
