When do most interviews occur for anesthesia? I wanna take a block off for interview. I can take either mid november-mid december off or mid december-mid january off. Which one would be more ideal?

I think you'll be fine either way - most interview seasons start gearing up right at mid-November (or slightly later) and start tapering off at mid-January (or slightly earlier).

If you do mid-Dec - mid-Jan, you will have the holidays off, but there will be on less week of interviewing as the programs will take the time off as well.

I would just schedule rotations where they know you will be gone and be ok with that. I saved my time off until the end of the year during my 4th year. My last day was February 26th.

So the full range I saw was the end of October to beginning of February.

Most of mine actually concentrated in Mid-End Nov and Early-Mid January with Dec being a little bit more free.

Seconded. My very first anesthesiology interview was 10/22 and my very last one (although I cancelled) was 2/10. The large majority were mid-November to mid-January.

I just realized that next year they are going to redo when they send out the Deans letter (ie. Oct 1 rather than Nov 1). That means the interview schedule will probably get shifted, as some schools waited for the Dean's letter to send interviews and some just said they did 😛
