Interview notification always by email?

So, are they always by email, so I stop checking status pages for my schools? Thanks.

Not always done by email, some are received by a phone call or snail mail.

But if it's reflected online, they will probably also email you. I doubt they leave it up to people to figure out on their own.

Some schools call. I know that Loyola calls, but they don't have a status page, so I guess that's moot. And I believe that you should see a status change on Pritzker's page when they've made a decision. While their invites are emailed, I remember some people got the status change a few days before receiving the email (not knowing whether to be expecting an invite email or a snail mail rejection in the interim). Checking status pages probably adds more to the angst than anything, but I can't seem to stop myself. I check all of my status pages every night, and usually in the morning too.

When I spoke with Loyola this morning, they said that individuals being invited to interview will be notified either by telephone or e-mail. "All other information," she said, will come in the regular mail.

I called this morning for a status check, just hoping for them to say "you are complete" and instead the lady told me that they had reviewed my app and there were going to be re-reviewing it again sometime between now and end of October.

I guess it's better to know that you are on hold than not, but still it stings...I didn't even expect that. They passed over me once...i doubt they would consider me after the stellar but lazier applicants apply late.....

We should try to make a list of how schools notify people about interviews. I think it would be helpful and make things less stressful. Personally, if I know a school will only notify by phone call or mail, I'd stop checking their status page (if they have one).

does anyone know if loyola ONLY accepts status check phone calls on thursdays? i think i read that somewhere but am not sure. it's too late now and i don't want to wait a whole week (=eternity)
