In general, is it harder to get an interview or harder to do well in an interview?

I think it depends on the person. Those who don't have much experience doing interviews will probably find doing the interview harder.

For me, it's the other way around. I find interviews hard to come by but I've done all types of interviews so when I do get one, I make sure I'm thoroughly prepared.
