Interview on the weekends?

Hi everyone. Is it possible to arrange all the interviews on the weekends? I have to take a class next semester where I can only miss 4 lectures no matter what happens, so I am afraid I won't be able to pass the class if all the interviews occur during the weekdays. So do dental schools ask you when you want to interview or do they just give you a set date? If they do give you a solid date, then are they usually on the weekdays or on the weekends? I am applying to Columbia, UPenn, Case Western, NYU, BU, and Tufts (They are all private ones because I'm an international student). Thank you!

Most schools give you a few days to select from, but I have only heard of a few that interview on the weekends. Most do not. I interviewed at Tufts. They did not give me any options, but I interviewed late in the cycle. I heard that they give options to earlier candidates. But you can bet it won't be a weekend. Talk to your teacher and explain your situation. Hopefully, he/she will realize how important it is.

I have not seen a weekend interview option. You're going to have an easier time asking your teacher for a break than to convince the dental schools' admissions team to show up on a weekend.

just talk to your teachers,,,,they are usually really cool about it... Why can you only miss 4 lectures the most?

Some places are moving towards weekend interviews. Maybe you'll get lucky!

I've never heard of a school offering interviews on the weekend, but to be sure you should inquire at their admissions offices. Often they will have a list or calendar of available dates that you can pick from. If your professor is strict on absences, I think it would be best if you talked to him personally and discussed your problem, he/she has probably dealt with similar situations many times.

Thank you very much for your answers. I am a senior and haven't taken PE yet. I can only miss 4 by policy or I won't get my degree 🙁. Maybe I will talk to the PE office.

i had quite a few interview invites and the only schools that offered weekend interviews were colorado and oklahoma.

Western university in CA offers saturday interviews

Columbia offers interviews on Fridays from what they told me in their interview invite. I didn't apply to the other schools you listed, so I am not sure about them. Schools will allow you to change your interview date if you have a test, death, illness or something like that (most likely anyway, but sometimes they wont) However, I can almost guarantee it wont be on a weekend.
