You can do whatever you are most comfortable with. Schools will generally let you leave your bag in the admissions office in a closet or behind a desk. Most people take everything with them to the interview and then just leave them wherever the admissions staff tells them to leave them. Just ask when you get to the school. It seems like it would be a pain to have to go back to the hotel to get your bag before going to the airport.

What about dinner after the interview...

Honestly, most interview days are pretty long. By the time you get through several hours of Deans and administrators talking about how great their schools are, and the stress of the actual interviews, most people don't stick around when it's over. Some people might go out, but most just head for the airport.

So in the case of your school...maryland....there is a spot to leave your stuff? Thats the first interview ill have to travel for. (got the invite today..very excited)

heads up.

if you are catching a flight the same day, then you can't really keep your bags at the hotel because checkout time is usually 11am or so.
So, best bet would be keeping it at the admissions office - once you start getting interviews, contact the individual office and ask them, I am sure they would understand... =D

Congrats 👍 Yes, they have everyone put their bags in a corner of the first meeting room and they lock the door when you leave.

many hotels let you leave the bags in their lobby if you don't want to carry them around. ask your hotel manager before you book a room

If you booked a hotel the previous night, you can usually leave your bags with them and they will give you a ticket slip for you to go back and get it.
