I just retook the DAT and improved all of my scores by several points (AA/TS/PAT from 19/17/18 to 21/21/25). I have a feeling that during the interviews they will ask me why I did average the first time but exceptional the second time. I don't know what a good answer to this is. The real truth is that a) I had a lot more time to study since I was done with school and only working full-time while studying. The first time I was taking classes, working two jobs, volunteering, graduating, etc. and b)the second time I had a better idea of what the DAT wanted me to focus my studying on.

Does this answer make me look bad though. Like, they might think I can't handle all the work of dental school since I didn't do as well on the DAT when I had a bunch of other things to juggle? If anyone else had this question, I'd love to hear your answer.

Flip it into a positive. Say that you adapted, learned, knew how to better prepare based off of your mistakes, youre a flexible learner, etc...

You think they will not be able to figure that one out?
