I'm applying this cycle and plan to submit my application as soon as possible after it opens in June. Is it common to start having interviews during the summer months? I'm trying to figure out what I should do this summer in terms of living/job and if I might have to be going to interviews that will affect my plans. When you're offered an interview are you given a set date when you have to be there or do you have some flexibility with the date? Do schools interview on the weekends at all or are they always during the week? My overall GPA is 3.88 in biomedical engineering, 23 AA on the DAT if that gives context at all.

Sorry for all the questions, you guys are always helpful though!

W/ your stats being on the high end, you're likely to have atleast a couple interviews somewhat early. Make yourself available from the 3rd week of August onwards. Most schools give you a choice of a few dates and most ppl will advise you to attend the earliest feasible dates you can.

No, most schools usually start conducting interviews around early September

Usually the school invites you for an interview for a certain date. If that day is not good for a legitimate reason, it might be possible to reschedule (wouldn't recommend it unless it can't be helped)

Depends on the school. Some interview on the weekends, some do it on Friday, and others do it on whatever random day they want to do it on

That's awesome! Write a decent personal statement, get good recommendations, and have some extracurriculars, and you're a shoo-in for dental school
