Do we need to bring a resume with us to our interview? Should we carry a pad to write things down on to the interview. Just a few questions I was wondering if someone could help with me. Thanks in advance
1) Do not bring a copy of your resume. The AADSAS is pretty much a resume itself.
2) You can bring a pad/portfolio to an interview if ONLY you need it (my opinion is if you bring it just to show off, then that makes you look pretentious and superficial). Or you can simply bring a pen or pencil to jot down notes off to the margin of documents they give you at the interview e.g. financial aid and curriculum docs (there was enough space there to write down notes). It doesn't make you look any less professional if you don't bring a pad/portfolio.
Thanks for answering the resume question. I went a scheduled a mock interview at the career center on campus and they asked me if I had a resume. I didn't know what they were talking about since I had never heard of having one for an interview.
I brought a padfolio to one of my interviews, and I just felt silly. I didn't open it once, and it was annoying to carry around. I would definitely not recommend bringing one. They give you paper there if you really want to write something.
