I tried looking for frequently asked questions and what I should think about to prepare for an interview for a dentist position. I found a lot of questions for the pre-dental crowd, but none for dentists interviewing.
Can anyone suggest any questions or relevant websites?

Check out www.newdocs.com You can join for free and its actually a pretty good website. Check out the downloads section and you can download some questions that might be helpful. All the best!

Speaking as a practice owner here, if I'm going to interview someone to work for/with me, most of what I'd want to know about you would have less to do with where you went to d-school/what you're class rank is/was and more to do with who you are as a person. I'd want to make sure that you as a person have atleast somewhat similiar values to myself, since you'll be essentially an extension of me and what I've built up as a practice.

I'd also almost expect you to interview me almost as I'd be interviewing you.

If I had to make a list of things I'd be asking a prospective dentist joining my practice, in no particular order they'd include:

- licensure status
- dental likes/dislikes (i.e. personally I don't enjoy perio procedures)
- Big picture dental philosphy
- Interest in a future buy-in
- And basic background info on you that you're C.V. may not have covered and/or peaked my interest
