My girlfriend has an interview tomorrow with Baylor. She's been preparing for about a month now and is fairly prepared, but I recommended that she look up the passing rates at the school, just in case she gets thrown a curve ball about it.

I am on the school website but can't seem to find it (and therefore I cannot compare it with other schools). Where can I find this information?

Here is the school's website. Thank you for your help.

The suggestions is that she know the passing rate in case they are quizzing the extent of her knowledge about the program? Are you talking board rates? Or just graduating? If it's boards, I doubt it will happen, and it would be kind of odd if it really got to that. This information is hard to come by for most schools. If it's not openly shared with ease on their site (like Ohio State, for example), they can't really expect someone to know that sort of thing.

What is the % first time board pass rate? What is the average score? It is really high for first time pass rate but with new format the average score is WAY down. From like 89 on old format (before Jan 2007) to ~83-84 with new format.

I hope that's been improved over the last 5 years. Low 80s doesn't sound too hot. But either way, the school doesn't dictate if you'll pass or not, much like the school does not dictate the kind of dentist you'll become. The school might be a better/easier vehicle for both outcomes, but it's on your shoulders.

If they really inquire about board or grad rates, I think it'd be silly.

Hmm good point. I'm a pre-med student and in the forums, they recommend you know the pass rate (but then again pre-med students are a lot more anal).

It's probably recommended that she know the first year curriculum though, correct?
