Hey is anyone else interviewing at western next Tuesday? Has anyone already interviewed and have any advice and know any typical questions that they asked??

thanx for your help!

d'oh! i'm on thursday. i heard its the usual stuff about your app, with plenty of ethical "what you would you do if...?" questions thrown in for good measure.

my interviewer asked me to say things in chinese and asked about my life like...what i like to do for fun and then we talked about movies and football...no kidding. he was awesome.

when i was going into the door, he was just like...oh you're gonna be an easy one =)

needless to say, it was a fun time.

check out interview feedback on this site...it'll give you some idea what to prepare for...

don't worry, it's not bad at all. it was my first and it wasn't that bad. know why you want to be a DO, why Western, your clinical experiences, research...basic stuff. i didn't get asked an ethical question, but i think some people do. good luck!

svalenzuela02p,
The director of admissions Susan Hanson is also the head of the latino medical association at Western. Thus, as your name reveals, they like hispanics.

I'm half and she even asked me to stay after to talk to representatives from the group. As long as you don't mess up your interview, you should be fine.

it wasn't bad at all, but then again my brother is currently a student there, and the interviewer knew and loved my brother. I had no ethical questions. Only questions about my application. Oh, and the other thing is that they have a pitcher of water. They will ask you to pour it for them. here's how you do this. You have to screw the top lid to open the pitcher. So hopefully you won't fumble on this one. The girl ahead of me told me how to do this, so it wasn't a problem for me. I just refused water altogehter. They really don't need to figure out I lack coordination skills in order to be a doctor.

all I can say is "enjoy the E.R. video"
you will be watching that thing for 5+ times.
