Interview Workshop Advice

Hey everyone, I'm part of a premed club at my school and I wanted to hold an interview workshop. This one will be very basic, (like what to wear/not to wear, things to do/not do, common questions, etc.). I know what I've seen at various interviews that I'm going to include in this workshop, but I'd like to hear what you all have to say.

If you could give advice to a group of young premeds about interviewing, what would you say?

I think it's really important to emphasize that the better you know yourself, the better you'll interview. But strangely enough, students don't know much about themselves - as in what they seek in their career, what they desire in a school, and why.

Right now I'm in the midst of designing some workshops for my peers as well. For an interview workshop, I'm aiming to make it majorly hands-on where we have students do a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) and begin to craft an 'elevator speech.'

That was the most beneficial thing I found while prepping for interviews. The common interview questions are spot-on, and the majority of all interviews will be some permutation of those questions.
