I just interviewed at DMU a couple of days ago. I think the interview went really well, I even caught the PhD and M2 student making eye contact and smiling when I gave a "good" answer. During the interview day the dean of admissions told us that "everyone was qualified academically" and that we should just relax and show the interviewers our true selves. So thats what I did, I was a bit nervous at the beginning talking a little fast, but all my answers were really good.

Do you guys think, considering how early it is to be interviewing, that I'll likely get in? Someone said they only interview 325/2700 applied for an entering class of 200.

Well... I wouldn't call this the early part of the interview season but considering the admissions stats at DMU, I think the odds are definitely in your favor.

From USnews (2005):

As you can see, a large %age of those interviewed are accepted. It seems--from my experience there--that DMU is pretty hardcore about osteopathic principles, manipulation, etc., and if you expressed an interest in these during your interview, I think you have a great shot at hearing good news from them.

You should know w/n two weeks, but it does sound promising. I kind of had the feeling the day that I interviewed that it was going to happen. Sorry that we didn't have many students there for you guys to speak with that day. M1 and M2 both had big tests on friday. If you like a student friendly medical school you will like DMU.

Don't worry so much about the interview. I am with the admissions team as a student interviewer and I can guarantee that if you felt your interview went well, you have nothing to worry about. Again, we are sorry for the M1 absence, but it was our big test week. Best of luck to all of you and we hope to see you there next year.
