just wondering if one of our illustrious attendings would chime in about how many applicants most programs interview per available position?

(i realize this may not mean much for me, but i'm an information maven!)

Most programs list that information on FREIDA. It hovers around 10 per slot, varying for each school.

At the U of A last yr they only interviewed 65 for the 13 spots.. Included in the 65 were people who also interviewed for our combined program.

As said before though the national average is probably closer to 10 to 1
