I have an interview coming up in Feb and I thought, as part of my preparation, it would be a good idea to do some research on my potential interviewers (their backgrounds, interests, etc..). So far through the interview feedback forum, Dr. Hutter and Dr. Calabrese are the only interviewers I can find...(there was also Dr. Shaw/Shah...which one is correct?) can anyone who's done the interview help me out plz?
I've heard that the BU interviews are overall pretty laid back but how were Dr. Hutter and Dr. Calabrese (or other interviewers) like?
Thanks in advance! 🙂

I had Dr. Calabrese. He is a cool guy, very laid back. Just be yourself and enjoy the interview. He really just wants to get to know what kind of person you are.

Ditto. He mostly just skimmed through my application, asked a few things about me, nothing specific or hard to answer. be prepared to have questions about the school. I feel like I didn't get to talk about myself enough so indirectly talk about yourself👍

It's so weird that Boston U never invite me....did I just throw my money into water to apply that school?

well im telling u..the interview will go well regardless of who u get...the only guy that might be a little harsh is Dr. Pollins, guy with the beard..but im sure he's fine too...so honestly dont trip..do ur best and that'll be good enough

i had Dr. Pollins for my interview and i thought he was great. honestly he didn't ask me single intimidating question, like "why i want to be a dentist", or "why BU." it was just a conversation. he asked me about my family, about where i grew up, and stuff like that. just be yourself, because they're just looking to see if you can carry on a conversation, and that you have the type of personality that they look for in their students. just relax and you'll do fine.

They are probably waiting last with you because you have incredible stats and knew you would probably go somewhere else over BU. They want to see if you will withdraw first I bet. Thats just what I think.

Same, same, same 😴

Maybe good news later?

I interviewed with Dr. Stoute. It was a very relaxed discussion... we talked mostly about hockey and he even offered to look for Bruins tickets for me. He was a very enjoyable interviewer!

Dr. Calabrese interviewed me on a Monday, and I was accepted Wednesday morning. He seems like a great guy, and he must have some clout! I enjoyed my BU interview more than any other.
