For those that attend temple, is interviewing at temple worth it in March, are the seats already taken. Do you think I am interviewing for a waitlist seat??

I interviewed there recently, and I was told that about 100 of the 125 seats have been taken (applicants put down deposits on them) but that doesn't mean anything. So likely march's interviews would be for an alternate spot.

i called brian today...he said i'm on the alternate list, and it's ranked by DATs and GPAs.

hope that gives u an indication of where things are at.

I had my interview Jan 21st... and I still havent heard anything 🙁

I thought Temple was an easy school to get into... I dont understand, unless they did such a good job of recruiting that the good applicants accepted and started putting in deposits.

with a record 2800+ applicants going for 125 spots...of course it's gonna fill up. It used to be that 1800 applicants was a good year...now it's almost double..You guys here on SDN should start talking bad about dentistry...then maybe fewer people would apply... 😛 but yeah...this has been a record year for applications all over the country...

fruity- sorry to hear that you got alternate-listed. i wouldn't worry just yet. our second deposit isn't due til April 1st, so I bet at least a handful of seats will open up then. hopefully they'll accept you then. no worries! did you get acceptances elsewhere?

hey there bouncy_ball. yeah, i wish i got accepted...but at least it wasn't a rejection.

no i haven't had any acceptances elsewhere.

now since, i'm on 2 alt/waiting lists, and interviewing for another alt list, this means that i really hafta get my act together in finding a lab job this year. cuz i know i won't be getting positive responses anytime soon.

geez. i have no place to live during summer (yet), no job, home is across the world... i hafta move my 4 years of accumulated crap ...yikes...
