that 13 along with a late application may be the reason you haven't heard back...have you tried calling the schools and asking them the status of your application?

Just called them... today was the last set of interviews... when can you start applying for next year....

The application should come out again in mid-may. Applying early normally would help, but with a 13 on one of your DAT scores, it may not make much of a difference. A lot of school have minimal requirements for all DAT scores (like nothing less than a 15 on any score) so you may need to retake the DAT to even be considered.

That isn't to say people with low DAT scores don't sometimes get in. I recall someone posting a thread a while back saying someone with a 13 in some DAT score just got accepted to Arizona, but those ocassions seem to be few and far between, off the norm cases.

I agree! Definitely retake the DAT and aim for at least a 20 or better since there are so much competition now and days. A 13 in Quantitative reasoning would be looked down upon by many schools even if you apply really early in the game. Then again, that just help to improve your luck applying and getting accepted is a crapshoot 🙂 Goodluck with everything

you think ur situation is bad... believe me, there are far worst. some ppl applied in june and haven't even gotten interviews yet.

Yea...give them a call...try not to worry so much...u still got lots of time...I'm sure you'll get in!! If not retake the DAT's and try again! U can do it!

I would definetly say retake the DAT.....

You need to raise your score..and make sure all of your scores are at least a 15 but if you want to be more competitive try to get at least an 18 and above in all sections......

Make sure your personal statement is not generic...make sure it is PERSONAL....that is ur chance to shine... find someone who is part of an admissions committee for medical school, dental school or even graduate programs to read your statement and give their opinion.

APPLY EARLY...with those stats you shot yourself in the foot by applying later in the application cycle.

Good luck...best wishes...and don't spend a year doing nothing...be productive during the waiting period
