I am beginning to think about interviews and realize that there are going to be a lot of expenses when traveling to interview, especially since all of the schools that I am applying to are out of state. I am wondering if anyone knows the breakdown of expenses that an applicant can anticipate for each school that he/she applies to. This includes flight, hotel, food, etc. Thanks in advance!

Really depends on where you are and where you're going. A trip to SUNY is going to be vastly different in cost to a trip to Oklahoma. A one night stay is very different from a three night stay. A flight from Phoenix to Boston will be very different than a flight from New York to Boston. So, lots of variables.

FYI, ICO offers a night of complimentary lodging for applicants, if you get contacted for an interview here, you'll hear more about it.

When I interviewed at Western, I spent approximately $300 on airfare, $100 on transportation, $80 for hotel (stayed one night only), and $20 for dinner. Most schools will offer discounted rates at hotels nearby or provide transportation from the hotel to the school.
