For some schools, I've seen some applicants report on SDN they received IIs but they were complete after me by about ~2 weeks. Does that mean I've been silent rejected? For top 20 schools I imagine they pass on average applicants and move to the best first more often. But, what is the chance they will come back to those average joes? By average I mean with respect to the whole application not just stats.

It doesn't necessarily mean you've been silently rejected, but could possibly mean you've been passed over for an interview invite upon initial review. It's also possible that complete date does not correspond to review date with a margin of error encompassing the time period between your completion and another invited applicant's.

At one school I was complete mid July and saw people complete in September and August getting IIs. I ended up getting an II from this school a couple weeks ago. Don't let the threads freak you out.

I would strongly caution against trying to read into these kinds of things. For starters, it will not change anything. It is a basic principle in medicine that if something isn't going to change your management, that you shouldn't do it. Secondly, this is a complex process. Logically, it does follow that schools may be more interested in those applicants than you, especially if your application is "an average Joe". But, there are a variety of factors that could lead to interviews being distributed quicker to certain people that have nothing to do with chances of admission.
