Interviews in January

Is it bad that I set up almost all my interviews for January 2014? I have couple in Nov and 2 in dec.

Jan is my vacatioon month. Is Jan too late to interview?

The problem with Dec is that there are only 3 actual weeks for interviews because of holidays. Plus all programs seem to have dates well into January and also the first part of February. I think January is an ideal month for taking time off to interview.

Agree. I got a lot of December interviews, though I would have preferred some of them in January (but in my case, they only offered Dec). Because of the holidays, my 1 month rotation is reduced to about 3 weeks, and I'll have to take off 7 days to interview. My attendings will not be happy. 🙁 If you have time off in January, that's great. Plus, many applicants drop spots in January - so you might have some great places contact you if they have last minute January openings.
