being that it is still early on in the interview process, i heard back from several categorical and preliminary medicine spots and it appears as if programs are only offering interviews on Mondays and Fridays (5 programs so far). is this standard practice for most programs? it makes sense if you're traveling from some distance for the intreview... but i only have so many Mondays and Fridays in Nov and Dec.
have others had this issue?
do programs offer interviews in the middle of the week?

at least you're getting mondays also, I'm only getting fridays
no january either

It seems that M/W/F is most common, although one had thursday as an option also.

I think it also depends on the specialty. I've heard certain fields tend to interview on certain days of the week.

Most of my interviews have been on TuWTh.

Agreed. I was specifically talking about Pre-lim Medicine and Transitional programs, since I've yet to get any anesthesia interviews (not a single one of my 5 requested LOR's has been turned in 😡 ).

I think it depends on the size of the program. The bigger programs I applied to are offering every day of the week for interviews while the smaller ones only interview once or twice a week.
