have heard of ppl getting interviews for family med, transitional, and surgery..ur the first ive heard for psych..where is it from?

Sorry, I think I made some people nervous. It's at UMDNJ for Psych. Its the only one I've gotten so far out of the 30+ that i applied to.

Congrats for the interviews. Are your applications complete? Mine is still missing LORs and I am wondering if that may be the reason I have not gotten shi*. I thought interviews were mainly based on USMLE and GPA, not LORs. Oh by the way, I did not get any crap today either. Peace out.

hey..my application was just completed yesterday..i was missing two LORs but they were uploaded yesterday and I got my first invite today..were all in the same boat..so hang in there im sure ull hear from them soon!

Do programs all contact you by e-mail for invites? I remember receiving some by snail mail when applying to medical school. Or do they just post invites on "myeras?"

I think a better idea regarding interviews would be to put a post on each of our respective specialty forums asking people to list interviews they've been offered. Each specialty kind of has its own "season" when the ball gets rolling... ie. FP & IM are relatively early since they have so many apps to get through. Maybe this would decrease some of the epinephrine flowing through this post???

From what I heard its mostly via email..and if programs reply thru the ERAS system u can get ur msgs on MyEras..but i think most programs just email applicants directly.

Good point..i think most of the specialty forums do have similar threads..i know psych does..
