I have a few uestions and would like to open a discussion:
When do most of the programs start interviewing? Any one has had any interviews yet?
How long after they receive the application do they make decision on interviews?
Do they let you know if you have NOT been selected?

eyedr is correct in that these questions have been answered before. i tried to figure out which thread they were in and realized it would be faster to answer them briefly here, especially given the fact that this is a unnerving time of year.

most programs start interviewing the first week in november. count on 99%
of your interviews occuring between november 1 and the winter holiday vacation. you should start hearing about interviews very soon and will continue to hear about whether a program has granted you an interview or not through november. some programs will let you know you know very quickly whether they want to interview you. i was suprised how quickly certain programs rejected me. some will keep you hanging until december. 1 never got back to me...but this is not the norm, most will let you know one way or another by late november/early december. good luck!
