intralipid rescue

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
We have it routinely stocked on all anesthesia carts, ER, cath lab, etc - anywhere anesthesia is given. To my knowledge, its never been used for verapamil od which I think is the case this guy is writing up. The bupropion case is questionable, as they pointed out.

We don't keep it in every pyxis - there are always pharmacists out there if anesthesia feels they need it on the floor.

You can push it fast if you need to - its isotonic, preferably a central line but a peripheral will work just as well. You won't find that published in the product info since anesthetic rescue I don't think is a labeled indication yet.

i'm probably going to stick it in at least one of my critical care area/ER pyxises.

and make sure the PACU has it...no pyxis, though🙁

hmm. we don't have it in any accudoses or crash carts. I wonder if that will change.
