First of all, please excuse me if I'm not posting in the traditional format, I'm new here.

Anyway, It's great to find this website, I've been sooooo stressed about hearing from schools, it's nice to know other people are feeling the same way. My name's Tim, I'm 22 and recently graduated from Drew University in Madision, NJ. I graduated with a 3.51 GPA with a 28 on the MCATs (10V/10B/8P). I'm currently working as a research assistant in a NJ hospital doing clinical research in a pediatric head trauma study.

I applied to 14 schools, and at this point (12/24/04)...

I have 1 upcoming interview at United Health Services

I had 2 interviews at UMDNJ-newark and am waiting now to hear about acceptance

I have been rejected by 1 school (U Maryland)

Other schools have said that they have finished reviewing my application, but no other word yet...

Anyone have any words of encouragement... should I be freaking out yet?

Don't worry yet...its only going to be January! There is lots of time to be hearing from schools, and many won't get in touch with you until later in the season. Try not to overthink anything at this point. Its the holiday season, and many offices have been closed/will be closed until early January. Its really hard to get the admissions committees together betwee Thanksgiving and New Years, so don't worry about it too much. The amount of time they deliberate has nothing to do with your chances, its usually just logistics.

i dont want to sound like a broken record to some of u....but i suggest you go meet with the dean of admissions at NJMS....that will be ur best chance...cuz im pretty sure people are getting waitlisted...at the UMDNJ schools......now..only go if you want to go to NJMS, not just because u want a acceptance.

Thanks man... I really want to go there... how do I go about making an appointment, but more importantly, what do I say once I'm there? Do I plead my case of why I want to go there or something like that?

call the admissions office....and yes tell that u really want to go there...
