As of June 1st (Align Technologies) Invisalign is requiring from their providers a 10 cases minimum AND some Invisalign CE each year, if you don't meet this quota you will loose your certification and cannot submit new cases to them.
I am upset of no advance notice, and this whole thing sounds to me a way to push their providers to generate more revenue for Align Technologies.
I am starting Pedo residency in a few weeks, no way I will meet the quota.
Am I the only one unhappy with this push over from Align Technologies,
Does anyone know if Post-grad residents or even recent grads that are certified would get a break from them, Do we have to pay another 2 grand for re-certification, boycott?, email them in protest?, ADA email? any thoughts are appreciated it

I guess this is a way for them to keep a lid on the huge demand. They are trying to weed out doctors who place 1 or 2 orders a year, or don't take advantage of their certification. I read somewhere, that about 1 million people have completed or in treatment with Invisalign, and only 1 in 5 dentists are trained to provide cases. They now have InvisalignTeen! 🙄

monopoly!

or fabricate those clear trays by yourself. I have used them in 8 cases to treat minor crowdings and relapses. worked out great.

I am glad I didn't get myself certified.

do you want me certify you for my future clear ortho appliances ? 😀😀😀 I have spent extra time in my lab trying to design some types of spring coil system for my clear ortho trays.
